MetaMetry investing in CAD/CAM Software Packages

Working with top-ranked universities around the world, we have included a large roster of CAD/CAM software for professional and educational development. We have given these recommendation to such universities like the University of Toronto in order to enhance the engineering education experience with high ended design for manufacturing, reveres engineering, CAD programming and 3D printing preparation & simulations.

MetaMetry On Additve Manufacturing Grad Courses

The talent gap is a serious setback towards adaptation of additive manufacturing (AM), better known as 3D printing, in professional settings. In order to address this issue, we have worked towards the introduction of the first AM course at the University of Toronto, with the help of Dr. Ali Radhi. The course talks about high end applications as well as new and innovative AM technologies on the marker. The course is called Additive Manufacturing in Engineering Applications and it is set to help students prepare for the new and ever growing field of AM.

Caloric Effect and Solid-State Heating/Cooling

Current solid-state thermal systems are derived from the caloric effect. Dependent on different materials, the effect takes into external stimuli and convert it into heat. This has received great attention in the past decade or two as the demand for more sustainable thermal systems is increasing. However, the pandemic caused the global manufacturers giving entire focus on improving their sales and profitability through product innovations and upgrades. However, the low-carbon footprint, energy loads and reduced consumables makes this technology a booming field with high expectation in HVAC and refrigeration markets in the future.

An Integrated Framework for Additive Manufacturing (AM)

As additive manufacturing technology advances , its range is more and more moving towards serial production, which creates a higher demand for process stability due to the reproducibility requirements placed on component quality. With such a disruptive innovation as 3D printing, sector growth has happened much more quickly than the education offering for the workforce. To become Additive Manufacturing (AM) experts, employees need to re-skill or up-skill into new roles.
