Moreover, they can be used to fix military vehicle with minimal cost through technologies like Direct Energy Deposition (DED) with a lesser heat affected zone (HAZ) than welding, saving millions of dollars in maintenance every year and providing logistic solutions to supply chain issues during critical missions.
