Exciting New Ventures of How to Utilize Space & Inspiring New Concepts to Explore

We develop new mission concepts to meet needs, and investigate the feasibility of proposed ideas. We have the skills to dive deep and analyze the technical issues, and to develop solutions. We perform technical feasibility analysis for our clients—scientists, engineers, and investors—allowing them to refine requirements and make design decisions for unique and inspiring space missions. We have the experience to know what situations arise during operations, and how to prepare for and perform successful operations. Our areas of expertise are organized into broad business areas focusing on space commercialization, digitally engineered spacecraft, on-orbit servicing, assembly, manufacturing, advanced sensors and components, and space domain awareness. Advanced manufacturing will yield increased commercial activity in in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and can create demand for high value industrial products for use on Earth.

Spacecraft & Equipment Design

MetaMetry specializes in digital engineering technology, which significantly lowers the costs, risks, and lead times associated with traditional spacecraft development. Our digital engineering capabilities include software- and hardware-in-the-loop configurations, to enable next generation space architectures and solutions, such as advanced artificial intelligence, machine learning and cyber technologies. Our design roster also includes rocket engines, sensors and components to provide more power and capability in-orbit with more processing power and smaller form factors. Additionally, we provide design support for in-orbit equipment including satellites, solar panels and structural manipulators. Our space suit designs ensure comfortably, reliability and Extravehicular Activity (EVA) to allow tasks as trivial as scratching your nose.

On-Orbit Manufacturing & Assembly

On-Orbit Servicing, Assembly, and Manufacturing (OSAM) unlocks the possibility of scalable space architectures that cannot currently be stowed and launched from Earth. The ability to construct large, self-assembling structures in space revolutionizes the economics of space infrastructure. Bio-fabrication in outer space is one of the many possible solutions we offer as zero gravity comes into our advantage when producing bio-samples without the need for support media or scaffolds. Additionally, utilizing 3D printing and assembly in space allows an enhanced supply chain as products can be manufactured in-orbit without the need for re-shipments, which costs millions in capital funds.

Lunar and Planetary Exploration

We are not in a race, and there will be many players in this human endeavor to go to space to benefit Earth. Our part in this journey is building a road to space with our reusable launch vehicles and manufacturing technologies that utilize the materials found in lunar and other planets. Moon regolith consists of Silicon (Si) & Aluminum (Al) while Mars dunes are mostly made from silicon dioxide and ferric oxide, with a fair amount of aluminum oxide, calcium oxide, and sulfur oxide. We provide technology such as powder-based additive manufacturing (AM) to utilize such materials to support safe and precise production of on-planet structures, housing and tools. Additionally, we offer innovation in space food, agriculture and solid-state heating/cooling for travellers' nutritional and shelter needs.

Pioneering Advanced Space Manufacturing to Revolutionize Off-Earth Manufacturing

Our technology and capabilities are pushing the boundaries of the future space economy. We help develop realistic plans to accomplish the goals of the mission within the technical and budget constraints. We can validate assumptions, and propose alternatives to overcome obstacles. We model mission orbits and geometry. We perform trade-off and statistical analysis. We develop and validate mission requirements. Additionally, We plan orbit maneuvers, and calibrate engines. We perform orbit determination and collision avoidance operations. We plan altitude profiles to meet communication and navigation needs. Coupled with the company’s hardware and software platforms, engineers can test your product before it gets to the launch pad, or the test bed, or a routine project review — detecting issues before they become failures, and saving your organization time and resources as you race to meet demanding delivery windows. We offer a suite of additive manufacturing and on-orbit assembly solutions to enhance supply chain and introduce high engine performances with unprecedented metrics.
