3D Printed Housing & Construction

Build houses 9X faster than traditional construction. Complex shapes used to be expensive or even impossible to build. Until now. With 3DCP, one can create lattice structures (like honeycombs) inside the wall to offer superior strength-to-weight ratios, thermal insulation and lesser material waste. Additionally, contemporary designs for the walls can be achieved like weaved or patterned textures with no additional cost to the process. This includes sheds, fences and walls. 3D printed homes are virtually identical to traditional Concrete Masonry Unit (CMU) homes. They are also reinforced in the same manner, which allows us to 3D print strong, hurricane and earthquake resistant homes.

3D Monuments & Landscaping

This technology enables the realization of eyecatcher projects by producing individual architecture which, up until now, could either only be produced with expensive special-made formwork or not at all due to its complex, curved-like structure. Such artistic freedom can create new and contemporary designs for multi purpose shafts/poles, furniture, logos, curved garden walls, benches, counters, planters, interior design and other construction art pieces. The technology offers various patterns and pigmentation to enhance the aesthetics of the product. Such solutions have also demonstrated the ability to integrate plants in a 3D printed structure. Monumental pieces like this can include in its design irrigation, light and drainage components, showing its possibility to integrate living things in a wall, and more generally in the elements of a building, including its walls or furniture.

3D Sustainable Structures

One application of 3DCP is to promote biodiversity by creating sustainable structures with high variability, water paths and air drainage. One such example is 3D artificial reefs designed to integrate a function of habitat and anchoring. This structure takes full advantage of the very high geometric complexity allowed by printing technology at a low cost. In addition, textured concrete resistant to a chemical attack is a material very suitable for this type of application. Above sea level, certain bird habitats need a very specific habitat (artificial tree design) that is difficult to reproduce with traditional techniques because of its complex forms. Thanks to 3D printing and parametric design, it is now possible to include this solution and adapt it to new needs, both aesthetic and practical, without increasing production costs. Tailor-made solutions in the service of ecology are now available.
